AN ACT CONCERNING NONRESIDENT LANDLORD REGISTRATION
AND INCREASED PENALTIES FOR REPEAT BUILDING AND FIRE
CODE VIOLATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) require a nonresident 1
landlord, project-based housing provider or agent in charge of rental 2
property to register certain personal identifying information with the 3
municipality, and (2) increase penalties for repeat violations of building 4
and fire codes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To (1) require certain nonresident landlords, project-based housing
providers or agents in charge of rental properties to register certain
personal identifying information, and (2) increase penalties for repeat
violations of building and fire codes.
