AN ACT CONCERNING FORECLOSURE, ASSIGNMENT AND OTHER
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS FOR UNPAID SEWER ASSESSMENTS
AND OTHER FEES AND CHARGES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit foreclosure, 1
assignment and other enforcement actions for unpaid sewer 2
assessments and other fees and charges in the case of owner-occupied 3
real property for which the principal of such unpaid assessments, fees 4
and charges is less than four thousand dollars unless five years have 5
elapsed from the date any lien was filed and such lien remains unpaid. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit foreclosure, assignment and other enforcement actions for
unpaid sewer assessments and other fees and charges in the case of
owner-occupied real property for which the principal of such unpaid
assessments, fees and charges is less than four thousand dollars unless
five years have elapsed from the date any lien was filed and such lien
remains unpaid.
