AN ACT REQUIRING AN EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT OF LARGE
DATA CENTERS ON THE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
To require that the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority shall, in 1
consultation with the Office of Consumer Counsel, the Department of 2
Energy and Environmental Protection and the regional independent 3
system operator, as defined in section 16-1 of the general statutes, 4
initiate an uncontested proceeding to evaluate the impact of large data 5
centers on electric distribution system reliability. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require the evaluation of the impact of large data centers on electric
distribution system reliability.
