AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
CLOSURE OF A PATENT FORAMEN OVALE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
all individual and group health insurance policies provide health 2
insurance coverage for the medical procedure for the closure of a patent 3
foramen ovale. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require that all individual and group health insurance policies
provide health insurance coverage for the medical procedure for the
closure of a patent foramen ovale.
