AN ACT CONCERNING BREASTFEEDING IN THE WORKPLACE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 31-40w of the general statutes be 1
amended to allow an employee to take reasonable breaks, as needed, to 2
express breast milk each time such employee has the need to express 3
milk. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To align state and federal law regarding break periods for the purpose
of breastfeeding during the work day.
