AN ACT ALLOWING CERTAIN NURSE'S AIDES AND ASSISTED
LIVING AIDES TO ADMINISTER MEDICATION TO NURSING HOME
RESIDENTS AND ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES AGENCY CLIENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to authorize nurse's 1
aides in the nursing home setting or assisted living aides in the assisted 2
living setting who have obtained the additional training and experience, 3
as prescribed by the Department of Public Health, to administer 4
medication to nursing home residents and assisted living services 5
agency clients. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To improve and expand staffing in nursing homes and assisted living
settings.
