AN ACT REQUIRING ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AUDITS OF
MEDICAID-FUNDED PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Auditors of 1
Public Accounts to conduct performance audits of not less than two 2
programs funded by Medicaid annually or a state agency that 3
administers Medicaid-funded programs pursuant to a written request 4
for such audits by the chairpersons of the joint standing committee of 5
the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to human 6
services. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure optimum use of Medicaid dollars toward providing human
services.
