AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE OFFICE OF THE LONG -
TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN AND AREA AGENCIES ON AGING 
SERVICE NAVIGATORS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of ____ dollars is 1 
appropriated to the Department of Aging and Disability Services from 2 
the General Fund, for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 3 
2027, for the purpose of hiring one regional ombudsman for the Office 4 
of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman. 5 
Sec. 2. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of ____ dollars is appropriated 6 
to the Department of Aging and Disability Services from the General 7 
Fund, for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, for the 8 
purpose of providing funding to the five area agencies on aging 9 
described in section 17a-850 of the general statutes to hire two additional 10 
service navigators per area agency on aging. 11 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:

Statement of Purpose:   
To provide funding to the Department of Aging and Disability Services 
for the purpose of (1) hiring one regional ombudsman for the Office of 
the Long-Term Care Ombudsman, and (2) providing funding to the five 
area agencies on aging to hire two additional service navigators per area 
agency on aging.
