AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE OFFICE OF THE LONG -
TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN AND AREA AGENCIES ON AGING 
SERVICE NAVIGATORS.  
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of one hundred fifteen 1 
thousand dollars is appropriated to the Department of Aging and 2 
Disability Services from the General Fund, for each of the fiscal years 3 
ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, for the purpose of hiring one 4 
regional ombudsman for the Office of the Long -Term Care 5 
Ombudsman. 6 
Sec. 2. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of three hundred ninety 7 
thousand dollars is appropriated to the Department of Aging and 8 
Disability Services from the General Fund, for each of the fiscal years 9 
ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, for the purpose of providing 10 
funding to the five area agencies on aging described in section 17a-850 11 
of the general statutes to hire one additional service navigator per area 12 
agency on aging. 13 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
