AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE ELECTRONIC BUSINESS
PORTAL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Economic and 1
Community Development shall conduct a study of the electronic 2
business portal established pursuant to section 3-99d of the general 3
statutes. Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, (1) an 4
assessment of the effectiveness, usability, user experience and web site 5
traffic of such Internet web site, and (2) any recommendations to 6
improve the effectiveness and comprehensiveness of the electronic 7
business portal. Not later than February 1, 2026, the commissioner shall 8
submit a report on the results of such study to the joint standing 9
committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 10
relating to commerce, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 11
of the general statutes. 12
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Legislative Commissioners:
In the first sentence, references to the central Internet web site were
changed to the electronic business portal established pursuant to section
3-99d of the general statutes, for accuracy and clarity; in the second
sentence, "an assessment of" was added before "the effectiveness" for Substitute Bill No. 1178

clarity; and in the third sentence, "Department of Economic and
Community Development" was changed to "commissioner" for
consistency.
