AN ACT PERMITTING THE USE OF NONATTORNEY
REPRESENTATION OF A TENANT IN A HOUSING MEDIATION
MATTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 47a-69 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
in the absence of having secured legal counsel in a housing matter, a 2
tenant may utilize a nonattorney representative during the mediation of 3
a housing matter. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To permit tenants to utilize nonattorney representation during the
mediation of a housing matter.
