LCO No. 3933 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 1275 January Session, 2025 LCO No. 3933 Referred to Committee on LABOR AND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES Introduced by: (LAB) AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' RIGHTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Labor Commissioner shall 1 conduct a study of the rights of employees in the state. Not later than 2 January 1, 2026, the commissioner shall report the results of the study, 3 in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, 4 to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 5 cognizance of matters relating to labor. Such report may include the 6 commissioner's recommendations for legislation regarding the rights of 7 the employees in the state. 8 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Statement of Purpose: To require the Labor Commissioner to conduct a study of the rights of employees in the state.
