Explanation
The bill, which expands notice requirements in certain probate court
guardianship proceedings, results in an estimated cost of $10,000 to
$30,000 annually to the Probate Court Administration Fund (PCAF).
Notices for these proceedings are served by state marshals at a
marginal cost of $1 per page. The actual cost to the PCAF depends upon
the number of pages in the notice; the annual cost for this service will be
approximately $10,000. There may also be additional annual costs for
storage and recording of up to $20,000.
