The bill also pushes out the date from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2028, by which municipalities must cease operation of these systems if they are using them unless they meet certain criteria. This results in a potential revenue loss to municipalities beginning in FY 27 to the extent they no longer collect fines from violations. This also results in a potential savings to municipalities to the extent they no longer pay for a vendor.
