(F) The background and qualifications of the proposed c ontractor, including its organization , financial stability, personnel, and performance on past or current government or private sector contracts with requirements similar to those of the proposed contrac t: Amergis Healthcare Staffing Inc. (formerly know as Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services, Inc.) is a privately held medical staffing company headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, that was founded in 1988. However, UMC has not able to procure other supplemental nursing staffing vendors due to regional and national staffing demand and because the hospital will be winding- down operations. Thus, UMC needed to enter into Modification #13, for an additional $6,000,000.00 for Option Y ear 3 and $3,200,000.00 for Option Y ear 4 to ensure nurse staffing was available for nursing services through Amergis.
