A CEREMONIAL RESOLUTION
25-19
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
February 7, 2023
To recognize and congratulate Nyckoles Harbor on winning the 2022 Gatorade State Football
Player of the Year award for Washington, D.C.
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is a multi-sport star athlete at Archbishop Carroll High
School in Washington, D.C.;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the number one athlete in the country and has set multiple
high school track records;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor was selected as an Under Armour All-American for his
accomplishments on the football field;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor has a 4.4 GPA, is a member of the National Honors Society,
and is a 12th Grade student ambassador. Math is his favorite subject in school;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor won the 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year
award for Washington, D.C.;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor finished the 2022 season with 45 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a
loss, 5.5 sacs, and 2 fumble recoveries for Archbishop Carroll High School, which won the division tournament title;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is already a two- time Gatorade State Boys Track & Field
Player of the Year;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the son of Azuka Harbor, a former professional soccer
player who competed for the Nigerian National team and several other Major League Soccer
teams, and Sandra Harbor, a pharmacist;
WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the brother to Giovanna Harbor, a Pennsylvania State

WHEREAS, in addition to athletics, Nyckoles Harbor enjoys cooking and playing video
games.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, T hat this
resolution may be cited as the “Nyckoles Harbor 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year
for Washington, D.C. Recognition Resolut ion of 2023”.
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and congratulates Nyckoles
Harbor on winning the 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year award for Washington,
D.C.
Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
