A CEREMONIAL RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
March 5, 2024
To recognize the many and varied contributions that the Mission Group has made to the District
of Columbia on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Mission Group’s Dupont
location.
WHEREAS, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Mission Dupont, which was opened by
Fritz Brogan and Reed Landry at 1606 20th Street Northwest, in the heart of the nation's capital ;
WHEREAS, with its offerings of daily happy hour, brunch on the patio, and numerous
event spaces, Mission Dupont has been a gathering spot for Dupont residents and a staple for
District of Columbia residents and visitors alike;
WHEREAS, guests have enjoyed over 2.3 million delicious meals at Mission locations
across the District over the past decade;
WHEREAS, Mission Dupont has served everyone, from world leaders to tourists to
neighbors, with a welcoming smile ;
WHEREAS, Mission Dupont offers delicious tacos and memorable margaritas and is
ranked as one of the best and most popular Tex- Mex restaurants in the District;
WHEREAS, Mission Dupont was the first location opened by the Mission Group, which
has since grown to become one of the largest restaurant groups in the District;
WHEREAS, the Mission Group currently operates restaurants in five locations across
three wards, including Mission Navy Yard, The Admiral, SALAZAR, and Royal Sands; and
WHEREAS, Mission Dupont will celebrate the "Decade in Dupont" on March 7th, 2024.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Mission Dupont 10th Anniversary Celebration Recognition
Resolution of 2024”.
Sec. 2. The Council recognizes and honors the Mission Group for 10 years of delicious
Tex-Mex food, jovial atmosphere, and welcoming service at the Mission Dupont location.
Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately .
