To confirm the appointment of Mr. Aaron L. Myers, II as Executive Director of the Commission
on the Arts and Humanities.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Commission on the Arts and Humanities Aaron L. Myers, II
Confirmation Resolution of 2023”.
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:
Aaron L. Myers, II
18th Street, NW
Washington, DC 20010
(Ward 1)
as Executive Director of the Commission on the Arts and Humanities, pursuant to section 6(a) of
the Commission on the Arts and Humanities Act, effective October 21, 1975 (D.C. Law 1-22;
D.C. Official Code § 39-205(a)), for the remainder of the unexpired 4-year term ending
September 30, 2024.
Sec. 3. The Council shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the
nominee and the Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
