Dr. Francis began her career in the FDA's Office ofln-Vitro Diagnostic Devices, where she worked in the microbiology branch as a clinical consultant. In her current office, the Office of Device Evaluation in the Division of Surgical Devices, she specializes in policy, regulation, and clinical protocol design of plastic and reconstructive surgery devices as well as pediatric devices. Dr. Francis also serves as an Attending Physician with the KIDS Mobile Clinic of Medstar Hospital and previously served at the Hoya Clinic, which serves the shelter patients at DC General Campus.
