He has also served on the Board of Massage Therapy. In his recent work experience, Mr. Ferguson was an Assistant Principal at Leckie Elementary School in the District. He was responsible for monitoring the successful implementation of curriculum through classroom observations for collaboration with the principal, teachers, and external stakeholders. This was to support and enhance student achievement, as well as to evaluate and assimilate data toward student goals. Mr. Ferguson was also previously the Assistant Principal at Anacostia and M.M. Washington Career Senior High Schools. In all, he was a teacher for eight years prior to serving in an administrative capacity. A Ward 5 resident, Mr. Louis Ferguson earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland and his Master of Science in Administration from Trinity College.
