RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this 
18 resolution may be cited as the "Real Estate Commission Edward Downs Confirmation 
19 Resolution of 2024". 
20 Sec. 
2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment 	of:

27 as a real estate broker licensed 	in the District member of the Real Estate Commission, 
28 established by D.C. Official 
Code§ 47-2853.06(h) and Mayor's Order 2009-11, dated February 
29 2, 2009, for a term to end December 13, 2027.

3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy 	of this resolution, 
31 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office 	of the Mayor.

Edward Downs 
 
Mr. Edward Downs is a licensed Associate Broker and is a current 
member of the Real Estate Commission. 
 
A native Washingtonian, Mr. Downs has been selling residential real 
estate for over 30 years. Mr. Downs serves the needs of diverse buyers 
and sellers throughout all eight wards of the District of Columbia.  
  
Mr. Downs is dedicated to building and sustaining community and has 
extensive volunteer experience in the D.C. real estate industry. Mr. 
Downs previously served as President of the District of Columbia 
Association of Realtors. Mr. Downs served on the National Association 
of Realtors, District of Columbia Association of Realtors, and Greater Capital Association of 
Realtors Board of Directors. Additionally, Mr. Downs presently serves as the Association of Real 
Estate License Law Officials Vice President and Director. 
 
A Ward 2 resident, Mr. Downs achieved the GRI professional designation and completed advanced
