RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this 
resolution may be cited as the "Board 
of Professional Counseling Laura Golojuch Confirmation 
Resolution 
of 2024". 
Sec. 
2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

as the marriage and family therapist licensed in the District member 	of the Board of Professional 
Counseling, established by section 213 
of the District of Columbia Health Occupations Revision 
Act 
of 1985, effective March 25, 1986 (D.C. Law 6-99; D.C. Official 	Code§ 3-1202.13), filling 
a new seat, for a term to end July 1, 2027. 
Sec. 
3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy 	of this resolution, 
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office

Laura Golojuch 
 
Ms. Laura Golojuch, PhD, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family 
therapist in the District of Columbia , Virginia, and Maryland. Ms. 
Golojuch enjoys bridging research, theory, and practice in her work. She 
is also a clinical supervisor and provides supervision to therapists in 
training and marriage and family therapist s working toward licensure. 
Her clinical work utilizes her systemic training to see people in context.  
Ms. Golojuch uses an integrative and strengths-based approach that 
incorporates solution focus, narrative, dialectical behavior therapy	, and 
trauma-informed practices into her sessions. Additionally, Ms. 
Golojuch teaches as an adjunct faculty member at the University of 
Maryland. Her dissertation from the University of Maryland focuses on how couple and family 
therapists enact social justice practice. Ms. Golojuch 	is an American Association for Marriage and 
Family Therapy ( AAMFT) Clinical Fellow and an AAMF T Approved Supervisor.  
A Ward 1 resident, Ms. Golojuch earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown 
University, and her Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy 	and Doctor of Philosophy in
