A RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear Contract
No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services, and to
authorize payment for the goods and services to be received under the contract.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Multiyear Contract No . CW121294 with CDW Government LLC
Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2024” .
Sec. 2. (a) There exists an immediate need to approve multiyear Contract No. CW121294
with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services and to authorize payment for the goods and services to be received under the contract.
(b) Under section 451 of the Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code § 1- 204.51) Council
approval is necessary because the contract is a multiyear contract .
(c) These critical services can only be obtained through an award of a multiyear contract
with CDW Government LLC.
(d) Council approval is necessary to allow the District to receive the benefit of these vital
services in a timely manner.
Sec 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute
emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Multiyear Contract No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC Emergency Approval Resolution of 2024 be adopted on an emergency
basis.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
