WHEREAS, the mission of AmeriHealth Caritas is to help people get care, stay well, and build healthy communities; and WHEREAS, the AmeriHealth Caritas mobile wellness unit is a way for Medicaid members to access the vital resources they need to help them on their life journey from wellness to resilience; and WHEREAS, the mobile wellness unit will reach people who often feel left out, if not forgotten, because of obstacles such as disability and poverty; and WHEREAS, AmeriHealth Caritas is pleased to offer this value-added benefit for its members, and to open the doors of these mobile units, as they do at their Wellness and Opportunity Centers, to anyone in the community; and WHEREAS, AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness and Opportunity Center and mobile wellness units represent its commitment to meeting its members where they are; and WHEREAS, AmeriHealth Caritas wishes to provide high-quality health and wellness support as close to its members as possible, in the communities where they live, work, and raise their families; and WHEREAS, AmeriHealth Caritas wants Delawareans to know that it is here to serve them and to provide them with education, with preventative health service, and with hope; and WHEREAS, the mobile wellness unit is going to make a measurable difference in the lives of AmeriHealth members and other citizens in the communities it serves. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the 152 nd General Assembly, the House of Representatives concurring therein, recognizes the important contributions of the AmeriHealth Caritas mobile wellness unit to the communities it serves.
