and registration renewal periods for a mobile home 4
owned by a natural person; providing an effective 5

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) and subsection 10
(2) of section 320.055, Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 11
320.055 Registration periods; renewal periods. —The 12
following registration periods and renewal periods are 13
established: 14
(1)(a) For a motor vehicle subject to registration under 15
s. 320.08(1), (2), (3), (4)(a) or (b), (5)(b), (c), (d), or (f), 16
(6)(a), (7), (8), (9), or (10), or (11) and owned by a natural 17
person, the registration period begins the first day of the 18
birth month of the owner and ends the last day of the month 19
immediately preceding the owner's birth month in the succeeding 20
year. If such vehicle is regist ered in the name of more than one 21
person, the birth month of the person whose name first appears 22
on the registration shall be used to determine the registration 23
period. For a vehicle subject to this registration period, the 24
renewal period is the 30 -day period ending at midnight on the 25

vehicle owner's date of birth. 26
(2) For a vehicle subject to registration under s. 27
320.08(11) and not owned by a natural person , the registration 28
period begins January 1 and ends December 31. For a vehicle 29
subject to this registration period, the renewal period is the 30
31-day period before prior to expiration. 31
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 32
