Section 125.488, Florida Statutes, is created 15 to read: 16 125.488 Ordinances, regulations, and policies concerning 17 temporary underground power panels. —A county may not enact any 18 ordinance, regulation, or policy that prevents or has the effect 19 of preventing an electric utility, as defined in s. 366.02(2), 20 from installing a tempor ary underground power panel that may 21 include a meter socket, meter, and downpipe if the temporary 22 underground power panel meets the requirements of Article 590 of 23 the National Electrical Code, 2021 edition, during the 24 construction and installation of the t emporary underground power 25 HB 481 2022 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb0481-00 Page 2 of 2 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S panel. The county may not require that a permanent inspection be 26 conducted after it has conducted a temporary inspection of the 27 temporary underground power panel. 28 Section 2. Section 166.0484, Florida Statutes, is created 29 to read: 30 166.0484 Ordinances, regulations, and policies concerning 31 temporary underground power panels. —A municipality may not enact 32 any ordinance, regulation, or policy that prevents or has the 33 effect of preventing an electric utility, as defined in s. 34 366.02(2), from installing a temporary underground power panel 35 that may include a meter socket, meter, and downpipe if the 36 temporary underground power panel meets the requirements of 37 Article 590 of the National Electrical Code, 2021 edition, 38 during the construction and installation of the temporary 39 underground power panel. The municipality may not require that a 40 permanent inspection be conducted after it has conducted a 41 temporary inspection of the temporary underground power panel. 42 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 43
