An act relating to Okeechobee County; providing for 2
the conveyance of specified lands to the Okeechobee 3
County Board of County Commissioners; providing an 4
effective date. 5

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

Section 1. The Board of Trustees of the Internal 9
Improvement Trust Fund shall convey to the Okeechobee County 10
Board of County Commissioners the lands historically known as 11
the Florida School for Boys at Okeechobee in fee simple, 12
consisting of the following described parcels of land situate, 13
lying, and being in Okeechobee County and more particularly 14
described as follows: 15

All that part of Section 34, lying East of State 17
Highway No. 15 (formerly No. 29) and West of the 18
abandoned right-of-way of the Florida East Coast 19
Railroad; 20

All parts of the West half of Section 35, lying North 22
and West of the abandoned right -of-way of the Florida 23
East Coast Railroad; 24

All parts of the Sout h half of Section 27, lying East 26
of said State Highway No. 15; 27

That part of Section 26, described as follows: 29

Beginning at the SW corner of Section 26, and run East 31
along Section line 2638.2 feet to 1/4 section corner; 32
thence North along 1/4 section line 1322.2 feet to a 33
point; thence in a Northwesterly direction 2915.2 feet 34
to the 1/4 section corner on West boundary of said 35
Section 26; thence South on Section line to the Point 36
of Beginning. 37

Section 2. The Board of Trustees of the Internal 42
Improvement Trust Fund shall convey the above described lands to 43
Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners within 30 days 44
after the effective date of this act. 45
Section 3. This act shall take effec t July 1, 2022, or 46
upon becoming a law, whichever occurs later. 47
