Paragraph (m) of subsection (2) of section 13 119.071, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 14 119.071 General exemptions from inspection or copying of 15 public records.— 16 (2) AGENCY INVESTIGATION S.— 17 (m)1. Criminal intelligence information or criminal 18 investigative information that reveals the personal identifying 19 information of a witness to a murder, as described in s. 782.04, 20 is confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. 21 I of the State Constitution for 2 years after the date on which 22 the murder is observed by the witness. A criminal justice agency 23 may disclose such information: 24 1.a. To assist in locating o r identifying the witness if 27 the agency believes the witness to be missing or endangered. 28 3.c. To another governmental agency for use in the 29 performance of its official duties and responsibilities. 30 4.d. To the parties in a pending criminal prosecution as 31 required by law. 32 2. This paragraph is subject to the Open Government Sunset 33 Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand repealed 34 on October 2, 2022, unless reviewed and saved from repeal 35 through reenactment by the Legislature. 36 Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2022. 37
