WHEREAS, the Fort Pierce Firehawks football team was 7
created in 2018, and over 4 years and three seasons the team 8
amassed an impressive record of 38 -2, and 9
WHEREAS, the Firehawks team , composed of youth aged 12 -14, 10
demonstrated strong athletic skill throughout the 2020 -2021 11
season, resulting in the team finishing with a perfect 17 -0 12
season record, and 13
WHEREAS, in their final game of 2021, the Fort Pierce 14
Firehawks defeated the Northampton Indians from Pennsylvania by 15
a score of 38-12 at the 64th annual Pop Warner Super Bowl in 16

WHEREAS, Duane Simon II, Joesph Weathers, Jr., Traveon 18

WHEREAS, according to Firehawks Coach Eddie Davis, this 29
super bowl win is the f irst time a team of any age group has 30
brought a national title back to Fort Pierce, and 31
WHEREAS, throughout the 2020 -2021 season, the Fort Pierce 32
Firehawks team demonstrated powerful dedication and, with the 33
support of its community, achieved national suc cess, NOW, 34
