 Florida Senate - 2022 SB 530  By Senator Taddeo 40-00198B-22 2022530__ 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to public records; amending s. 3 11.0431, F.S.; deleting a public records exemption for 4 drafts of and requests for drafts of reapportionment 5 plans, redistricting plans, or amendments thereto and 6 any supporting documents; providing an effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10 Section 1.Paragraph (e) of subsection (2) of section 11 11.0431, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 12 11.0431Legislative records; intent of legislation; 13 exemption from public disclosure. 14 (2)The following public records are exempt from inspection 15 and copying: 16 (e)A draft, and a request for a draft, of a 17 reapportionment plan or redistricting plan and an amendment 18 thereto. Any supporting documents associated with such plan or 19 amendment until a bill implementing the plan, or the amendment, 20 is filed. 21 Section 2.This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
