Florida Senate - 2022 SB 1744 By Senator Brandes 24-01648-22 20221744__ 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to phosphogypsum stacks; directing the 3 Department of Environmental Protection to conduct an 4 analysis of phosphogypsum stacks in the state and 5 submit a report to the Legislature by a specified 6 date; providing an effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10 Section 1.The Department of Environmental Protection shall 11 conduct an analysis of the safety and security of phosphogypsum 12 stacks in the state and submit a report to the President of the 13 Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by 14 October 1, 2022. 15 Section 2.This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
