Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 48.184, Florida 9
Statutes, is amended to read: 10
48.184 Service of process for removal of unknown parties 11
in possession.— 12
(2) A summons must be issued in the name of "Unknown 13
Parties Party in Possession" when the name of an occupant or 14
occupants of real property is not known to the plaintiff and the 15
property occupied by the unknown parties party is identified in 16
the complaint and summons. A separate summons must be issued for 17
each such unknown occupant. 18
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 19
