Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (9) of section 9
24.105, Florida Statutes, as amended by chapter 2022 -157, Laws 10
of Florida, is amended to read: 11
24.105 Powers and dut ies of department.—The department 12
shall: 13
(9) Adopt rules governing the establishment and operation 14
of the state lottery, including: 15
(i) The manner and amount of compensation of retailers. 16
However, the commission for lottery ticket sales shall be 6 17
percent of the purchase price of each ticket sold or issued as a 18
prize by a retailer. 19
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 20
