Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 6

Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (1) of section 8
538.03, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 9
538.03 Definitions; applicability. — 10
(1) As used in this part, the term: 11
(i) "Secondhand goods" means personal property p reviously 12
owned or used which is not regulated metals property regulated 13
under part II and which is purchased, consigned, or traded as 14
used property. The term includes gift certificates and credit 15
memos as defined in s. 501.95 which are purchased, consigne d, or 16
traded by a secondhand dealer. The term does not include office 17
furniture;, pianos;, books;, clothing;, organs;, coins;, motor 18
vehicles;, costume jewelry; gold, silver, platinum, palladium, 19
or rhodium bullion that has been assayed and is properly mar ked 20
as to its weight and fineness; , cardio and strength training or 21
conditioning equipment designed primarily for indoor use ;, and 22
secondhand sports equipment that is not permanently labeled with 23
a serial number. As used in this paragraph, the term "second hand 24
sports equipment" does not include golf clubs. 25
