II.Summary of Amendments Contained in Message:
House Amendment 166975 requires notice from the school district to delete a student’s covered
information at the conclusion of a course or program. It also expressly provides that the bill does
not limit the retention of covered information by an operator for the purpose of assessments and
college and career planning in accordance with general law. Finally, the amendment identifies
the Department of Legal Affairs as the sole entity authorized to bring enforcement action against
an entity that violates the bill.
