Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop a 4
Margaritaville license plate; providing for 5
distribution and use of fees collected from the sale 6
of the plate; providing an effective date. 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

Section 1. Subsection (127) is added to section 320.08058, 11
Florida Statutes, to read: 12
320.08058 Specialty license plates. — 13
(127) MARGARITAVILLE LICENSE PLATES. — 14
(a) The department shall develop a Margaritaville license 15
plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate 16
must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The 17
word "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, and the word 18
"Margaritaville" must appear at the bottom of the plate. 19
(b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate must be 20
distributed to the SFC Cha ritable Foundation, Inc., also known 21
as Singing for Change, which may use up to 10 percent of such 22
fees for administrative costs and marketing of the plate. The 23
balance of the fees shall be used by the SFC Charitable 24
Foundation, Inc., and shall be distribu ted with the approval of 25

and accountability to the board of directors of the SFC 26
Charitable Foundation, Inc., to provide grants to nonprofit 27
organizations in communities impacted by natural or manmade 28
disasters for recovery, rebuilding, and future sustaina bility in 29
those communities and to promote and inspire local grassroots 30
leadership that will work to improve the quality of life in 31
those communities and others in this state. 32
Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2024. 33
