A bill to be entitled 1 
An act relating to the Town of Sneads, Jackson County; 2 
transferring real property from the Board of Trustees 3 
of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund to the Town 4 
Council of the Town of Sneads; requiring a certain 5 
survey and report; providing an effective date. 6

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8 
 9 
 Section 1.  The Board of Trustees of the Internal 10 
Improvement Trust Fund shall convey to t he Town Council of the 11 
Town of Sneads, in fee simple, and for all uses as permitted by 12 
law, the following described real property located in Jackson 13 
County and more particularly described as follows: 14 
 15 
Commence at a nail and cap in the center of the Old 16 
Spanish Trail marking the Southwest corner of Section 17 
26, Township 4 North, Range 7 West, Jackson County, 18 
Florida and thence run North 89 ⁰ 29" 00' East 25.25 19 
feet to a point, thence North 00 ⁰ 51" 00' West 357.12 20 
feet to a point, thence South 76 ⁰ 38" 23' East 51.58 21 
feet to a concrete monument marking the intersection 22 
of the Northerly right of way line of US Highway 90 23 
(State Road 10) with the Easterly right of way line of 24 
Seminole Park Road, thence North 00 ⁰ 51" 00' West, 25

 Section 2.  The Board of Trustees of the Internal 93 
Improvement Trust Fund shall convey the above -described land to 94 
the Town Council of the Town of Sneads within 60 days after the 95 
effective date of this act. 96 
 Section 3.  Within 90 days after the Town of Sneads takes 97 
legal title to the above -referenced land, a cultural resource 98 
assessment survey shall be commenced. This assessment shall be 99 
conducted in accordance with Section 106 of the National 100

Historic Preservation Act of 1966, Public Law 89 -655, as 101 
amended, as implemented by 36 C.F.R. part 800, Protection of 102 
Historic Properties, and chapter 267, Florida Statutes. The 103 
scope of work and report shall meet the requirements of Chapter 104 
1A-46, Archaeological and Historical Report Standards and 105 
Guidelines, Florida Administrative Code. The final report shall 106 
be provided to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of 107 
the House of Representatives. 108 
 Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2024, or 109 
upon becoming a law, whichever occurs earlier . 110
