II.Summary of Amendments Contained in Message:
House Amendment ‒ 034487 lowers the reimbursement under the Workers’ Compensation Law
for physicians licensed under from chapter 458 or chapter 459 from 200 percent to 175 percent
of the reimbursement allowed under Medicare. The current statutory reimbursement rate is 110
percent of the reimbursement allowed under Medicare.
The amendment also increases the reimbursement for surgical procedures from 200 percent to
210 percent of the reimbursement allowed by Medicare. The current statutory reimbursement
rate is 140 percent of the reimbursement allowed under Medicare.
