II.Summary of Amendments Contained in Message: 
House Amendment 1 specifies that a tuition and fee waiver for students participating in the 
GATE Program applies after any available aid from the Open Door Grant Program is applied. 
 
House Amendment 2 adds enrollment in an adult secondary education program to the programs 
for which a student is eligible to receive an Open Door Grant Program award. 
 
House Amendment 3 specifies that completion of the GATE Program for purposes of 
performance funding requires a student to earn a standard high school diploma or high school 
equivalency diploma and a credential on the Master Credentials List within 3 years.
