Subsection (1) of section 948.15, Florida 10 Statutes, is amended to read: 11 948.15 Misdemeanor probation services. — 12 (1) A defendant found guilty of a misdemeanor who is 13 placed on probation shall be under supervision not to exceed 6 14 months unless otherwise specified by the court. Probation 15 supervision services for a defendant found guilty of a 16 misdemeanor for possessi on of a controlled substance or drug 17 paraphernalia under chapter 893 may be provided by a licensed 18 substance abuse education and intervention program, which may 19 provide substance abuse education and intervention as well as 20 any other terms and conditions of probation. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 27
