A bill to be entitled 1
An act relating to fees; creating s. 559.975, F.S.; 2
requiring the Department of Commerce to establish by 3
rule registration and renewal fees sufficient to fund 4
the costs of administering the Florida Manufacturing 5
Promotional Campaign; requiring the department to 6
assess and collect fees for the purpose of promoting 7
the campaign; requiring that such fees be deposited 8
into the Economic Development Trust Fund for a 9
specified purpose; providing a contingent effective 10
date. 11

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

Section 1. Section 559.975, Florida Statutes, is created 15
to read: 16
559.975 Fees.— 17
(1) The department shall establish by rule r egistration 18
and renewal fees sufficient to fund the costs of administering 19
the Florida Manufacturing Promotional Campaign. 20
(2) The department shall assess and collect fees for the 21
purpose of promoting the campaign. 22
(3) Fees must be deposited into the E conomic Development 23
Trust Fund established in s. 288.095 to be used solely for 24
administering the campaign. 25

Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date 26
that HB 561 or other similar legislation takes effect , if such 27
legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an 28
extension thereof and becomes a law. 29
