Section 23.46, Florida Statutes, is created to 15 read: 16 23.46 Exempt information. — 17 (1) In order to protect the privacy and rights of 18 individuals participating in Hope Florida, the personal 19 identifying information provided to the Hope Florida Office by 20 an individual, as well as the personal identifying information 21 provided by an individual to a H ope Navigator, is confidential 22 and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State 23 Constitution. 24 (2) The Hope Florida Office shall allow access to 25 HB 1329 2025 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb1329-00 Page 2 of 2 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S confidential and exempt information in the Hope Florida case 26 management system: 27 (a) To an employee of a participating state agency for 28 purposes of periodic reporting or disclosure of information that 29 has been redacted to exclude personal identifying information. 30 (b) At the direction of the Governor or the Hope Florida 31 partner network. 32 (c) An employee of the Hope Florida Office for purposes of 33 approving or disapproving a request for additional assistance 34 within the purview of Hope Florida. 35 (3) All information released by the office under 36 subsection (2) remains confidential and exempt, and a pe rson who 37 receives access to such information must maintain the 38 confidential and exempt status of the information received. 39 (4) A person who willfully and knowingly violates this 40 section commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as 41 provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. 42 (5) This section is subject to the Open Government Sunset 43 Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand repealed 44 on October 2, 2030, unless reviewed and saved from repeal 45 through reenactment by the Legislature. 46 Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date 47 that HB 1327 or similar legislation takes effect , if such 48 legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an 49 extension thereof and becomes a law. 50
