A bill to be entitled 1
An act relating to Broward County; providing 2
nonapplicability of provisions on alcoholic beverage -3
related actions and activities to special alcoholic 4
beverage licenses issued for premises located within 5
identified areas of Broward County; providing 6
nonapplicability of such provisions to actions and 7
activities of alcoholic entities in relation to 8
special alcoholic beverage licenses and premises; 9
defining specified areas of the county to which such 10
provisions do not apply; providing an effective date. 11

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

Section 1. Section 561.42, Florida Statutes, does not 15
apply to any special alcoholic beverage lice nse issued pursuant 16
to s. 561.20(2)(h), Florida Statutes, for which the premises of 17
such license are located on any property within the Western 18
Sunrise Entertainment District of the City of Sunrise, within 19
Holiday Park in the City of Fort Lauderdale, or wi thin the City 20
of Coral Springs. 21
Section 2. Section 561.42, Florida Statutes, does not 22
apply to the actions or activities of any alcoholic beverage 23
manufacturer, importer, distributor, primary American source of 24
supply, brand owner or registrant, or ven dor in relation to any 25

special alcoholic beverage license issued pursuant to s. 26
561.20(2)(h), Florida Statutes, or the premises on which such 27
special license is operated within the areas identified in 28
section 1 of this act. 29
Section 3. For the purposes of this act, the "Western 30
Sunrise Entertainment District of the City of Sunrise" means the 31
area defined by Section 16 -82(b) of the City of Sunrise Land 32
Development Code and more particularly described as follows: 33

That portion of the Western Sunrise Area b ounded by the Sawgrass 35
Expressway on the west; Oakland Park Boulevard on the north; 36
Flamingo Road on the east; and, a southern boundary consisting 37
of Sunrise Boulevard east of N.W. 136 Ave, and one thousand four 38
hundred (1,400) feet south of southern edge of the right-of-way 39
of Sunrise Boulevard west of N.W. 136 Avenue. 40
Section 4. For the purposes of this act, "Holiday Park in 41
the City of Fort Lauderdale" means the area of land designated 42
as "Holiday Park" by the City of Fort Lauderdale pursuant to the 43
dedication recorded in Plat Book 24, page 14, of the Broward 44
County Official Records, and more particularly described as 45
