Florida Senate - 2025 SB 372 By Senator Harrell 31-01164-25 2025372__ 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to dense breast tissue screenings; 3 creating s. 381.94, F.S.; providing that certain 4 patients may receive an ultrasound or other additional 5 screening tests without first having a conventional 6 mammogram; providing an effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10 Section 1.Section 381.94, Florida Statutes, is created to 11 read: 12 381.94Dense breast tissue screening requirements. 13 (1)A patient previously identified as having dense breast 14 tissue in a mammography report may receive an ultrasound or 15 other additional screening tests without first having a 16 conventional mammogram. 17 (2)As used in this section, the term mammography report 18 has the same meaning as described in 21 C.F.R. s. 900.12(c). 19 Section 2.This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
