Florida Senate - 2025 CS for SB 894 By the Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs; and Senator Rodriguez 586-02609-25 2025894c1 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to faith-based activities in 3 batterers intervention programs; amending s. 741.325, 4 F.S.; authorizing batterers intervention programs to 5 offer supplemental faith-based activities; prohibiting 6 required participation in such activities; providing 7 an effective date. 8 9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10 11 Section 1.Present subsection (2) of section 741.325, 12 Florida Statutes, is redesignated as subsection (3), and a new 13 subsection (2) is added to that section, to read: 14 741.325Requirements for batterers intervention programs. 15 (2)A batterers intervention program may offer 16 supplemental faith-based activities to participants. 17 Participation in such activities may not be required as part of 18 the program. 19 Section 2.This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
