A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church on the occasion of its

120th anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of the devoted3
original worshipers of Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church have blossomed, establishing4
a rich tradition and history; and5
WHEREAS, organized in 1903, Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church has grown under the6
divine direction of numerous pastors over the years, including distinguished leaders such as7
Elder William Henry Sebastian and current pastor Dr. Sherwin Jack, Ph.D., allowing the8
Word of God to spread throughout the community; and9
WHEREAS, the congregation of Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church has compiled an10
unparalleled record of constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service that it11
demonstrates daily through open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and12
WHEREAS, the members of Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church have a sincere desire to13
serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ;14

WHEREAS, on November 25, 2023, Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrates its

120th anniversary with homecoming events and worship services, inviting all current and17
former members, friends, and community associates to celebrate; and18
WHEREAS, the story of Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church is one of triumph through19
the grace and sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth20
that God keeps His promise; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message22
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered23
on behalf of persons in need.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body recognize the rich history of Berean Seventh-day Adventist26
Church, commend its 120 years of dedicated service to the Lord and community, and extend27
their warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to30
Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church.31
