A RESOLUTION
Celebrating the birth of Mitchell Adam Kaye, III; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, on July 20, 2023, at 2:06 AM, the second day of the Hebrew month of2
Menachem Av, in the year 5783 from Creation, a year of Hakhel, Megan and Mitchell3
"Adam" Kaye, Jr., welcomed a beautiful baby boy into this world at Northside Hospital in4
Atlanta, Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, Mitchell Adam Kaye, III, a 6th generation Georgian, weighed in at 7 pounds6
9 ounces, measured 20 3/4 inches, and is affectionally called "Mak"; and 7
WHEREAS, Mak entered into the Covenant of Israel at his Brit Mila, or ritual circumcision,8
on the 9th day of Menachem Av or Tisha B'Av, performed by Mohel, Rabbi Ariel Asa, and9
officiated by Rabbi Ephraim Silverman of Chabad of Cobb; and10
WHEREAS, the Kvatterin, as Messengers of the parents, were siblings Jason and Jenna Kaye11
Girson, Hannah Kaye, and Stephanie and Jake Maziar, who carried the baby into the room.12
Sibling Jared Kaye placed the baby on the Kise Shel Eliyahu, or Chair of Elijah; and13

WHEREAS, the Sandek who held the baby during the circumcision was grandfather Neal

Maziar. Grandfather and former State Representative Mitchell Kaye held Mak during the15
blessings and naming; and16
WHEREAS, Mak was given the Hebrew name Elyakim Dovid after his paternal17
great-grandfathers Elliott Kaye and Donald Lind, of Blessed Memory, respectively; and18
WHEREAS, grandmothers Amy Kaye and Amy Sue Maziar were in attendance as were19
great-grandparents Ellen Kaye, Lynda Lind, Milton "Butch" Frank, III, and Sherry and Harry20
Maziar, along with many other relatives and friends; and21
WHEREAS, other Shluchim, or emissaries of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel22
Schneerson, of Righteous Memory, in attendance included Rabbis Zalman Charytan, Chaim23
Schwartz, Chaim Markovits, and Shmuel Wolf; and24
WHEREAS, Mak is adored by all who lay eyes on him, and all are looking forward to25
watching his development in the months and years to come. 26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body congratulate the parents of Mitchell Adam Kaye, III, on the birth28
of their son and express their sincere wishes for a long and happy life for this new Georgian. 29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body express their desire that30
Elyakim Dovid ben Simcha Lev grow and be blessed with health and happiness, L'Torah,31
Chuppa v'Maasim Tovim.32

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized

and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the34
proud parents of Mitchell Adam Kaye, III.35
