A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Jute Wilson; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most2
important objective of the General Assembly; and3
WHEREAS, Dr. Jute Wilson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the4
vital role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal commitment to5
the education of the students of Georgia; and6
WHEREAS, during his 30 years of exemplary service in education, ten of which have been7
spent as part of the Lamar County School District, he has taught students in multiple8
subjects, served as head coach of numerous school sports, and advanced to the position of9
school superintendent; and10
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high11
ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom12
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved13
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and14

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
15
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and16
WHEREAS, Dr. Jute Wilson has served with honor and distinction, and his vision and17
unyielding commitment to academic excellence will be sorely missed upon the occasion of18
his retirement; and19
WHEREAS, in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people20
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary21
accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Jute Wilson for his efficient, effective,24
and dedicated service to the youth of this state; congratulate him upon the grand occasion of25
his retirement; and extend best wishes for future health and happiness.26
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.28
Jute Wilson.29
