A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the investiture of Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers as the president of Atlanta2
Metropolitan State College (AMSC) signifies a momentous occasion in the annals of higher3
education in the State of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers brings with her a distinguished record of5
leadership, scholarship, and commitment to academic excellence, making her eminently6
suited to lead AMSC into a new era of growth and achievement; and7
WHEREAS, the investiture ceremony serves as a testament to the enduring values of8
learning, innovation, and community service that are at the heart of AMSC's mission; and9
WHEREAS, Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers' leadership will inspire students, faculty, and staff10
alike to pursue excellence in their academic and professional endeavors, thereby enriching11
the educational landscape of our state.12
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13
the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers upon the14

extend best wishes for continued success, innovation, and service to the community.16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized17
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.18
Ingrid Thompson-Sellers.19
