A RESOLUTION
Commending Benjamin Cranford, Armuchee High School's 2024 STAR Student; and for

other purposes.2
WHEREAS, a gifted student at Armuchee High School, Benjamin Cranford has been3
recognized for his superlative achievement and selected as Armuchee High School's 20244
STAR Student; and5
WHEREAS, to be selected as a STAR Student, a student must have obtained the highest6
score in one administration of the three-part Scholastic Aptitude Test and be in the top 107
percent or top ten students of his or her class; and8
WHEREAS, each school has one STAR Student who in turn has the opportunity to choose9
a STAR Teacher who has been inspiring and encouraging throughout that student's high10
school career; and11
WHEREAS, educator Seth Bates was chosen by Benjamin as Armuchee High School's 202412
STAR Teacher for the great support and guidance provided to him throughout the years; and13

WHEREAS, Benjamin has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal
14
adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and15
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most16
important objective of the General Assembly, and Benjamin has shown by academic17
accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of18
the students in this state; and19
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this20
bright and promising young citizen.21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22
the members of this body heartily commend Benjamin Cranford for being named Armuchee23
High School's 2024 STAR Student and express their most sincere best wishes for continued24
academic success.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to27
Benjamin Cranford.28
